Spencer Tyson

Spencer leads Emerging Manager Coverage at Revere. He leverages his counterparty risk management and institutional operations background to provide the most in depth fund diligence on the market.

Spencer is the Head of Community at Revere, where he is responsible for fund underwriting and managing relationships with GPs. He leverages his institutional fund evaluation background in Counterparty Risk Management at Guggenheim Partners ($330B AUM) and operational workflow from State Street IMS ($1.43T AUM on behalf of PIMCO) to provide the most scalable and in-depth fund diligence on the market.

Spencer is engrained in diversity and racial equity. As a charter member of NEPC’s IDAC (Investment Diversity Advisory Council) steering committee, he works alongside a conglomerate of 100+ underrepresented asset allocators, helping set disclosure and reporting standards for fund managers. He also chairs multiple non-profits focused on racial equity and is an active member of BLCKVC’s San Francisco Chapter.

Spencer received his BA in Economics from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management and served as class President as he graduated from UC Irvine’s Merage School of Business with an MBA. As a former college athlete, Spencer is a passionate football fan and loves to imitate Food Network chefs in the kitchen.
